So now that I’ve gotten over all my creysand my feels for Quinn tonight, I’ve come across this picture up there.
I am perfectly okay with her being paralyzed. In fact, it was one of those story lines I was hoping for since season1: Artie helping somebody else deal with being stuck in a wheelchair. What I really hope doesn’t happen is Quartie. The ship itself is fine, but for these reasons? No, it’s just plain stupid. But I can see it happening and the writers are just gonna stick them together because they’re both wheeled and they both need love interests. Yeesh; and it was getting so good but I can sense dark clouds on the horizon.

I think that it’s pretty lame that it takes Quinn being in a wheelchair, for whatever reason, for Quartie interaction to take place.  Considering they have like 100 other parallels and shared experiences, this is…again, lame.  It feels rather contrived but, then again, what isn’t contrived about Glee?  Not a whole lot isn’t.
But I disagree that it was getting so good.  At least as far as Artie is concerned.  He has been awesome…up until he decided he liked Sugar, despite her horrendously offensive comments about his disability.  The girl has showed little regard for him and a lack of understanding about him as a person.  And yet he chases after her and wants her?  And then she only picked him over Rory (a situation to be reversed later) because she felt sorry for him?  THAT is ridiculous.
I don’t have a lot of hope where Glee is concerned (considering how many times I’ve sworn I’m done with it…) but this story line could be fantastic.  Quinn could help Artie to see that he’s more than just the kid in the wheelchair and he doesn’t have to put up with the crap handed to him by the people around him.  He seems to believe this to an extent but doesn’t live it out in his own life, thus pursuing Sugar.  Quinn being in a wheelchair could open avenues.  Headway could seriously be made.  As a friendship, as more…though I’m sure it’s only a friendship.  But she could be the one who helps him to realize.
Maybe.  But Glee has a tendency to screw things up.  Insert example here - 99% of the shows content.
